A preface: I can’t believe I’m writing this article. 3 years ago, I would have laughed myself out of the room if I mentioned the word “manifesting.” But here we are. I’m also trying to take the least “new-agey” approach to this, cutting the BS, and trying to speak a language that won’t make you roll your eyes. So here goes…
Manifesting will bring you whatever you want.
Or rather, it will bring you what you manifest.
Manifesting is the transition of source energy towards things. The translation of energy into matter. We are doing this all of the time, whether we are aware of it or not. We are always creating our reality. The reality that you look at, now, is a direct result of all of your manifesting, all of your subconscious creation. The obvious question you will ask is, “my reality is not perfect. Why would I create things that I do not want?”
The answer to this is that we are often unconscious creators.
Our power of creation is much more through our mind than our actions, an idea many of us find difficult to accept. We think that we create through our actions, but ponder the source of your actions. Many of them are unconscious, driven by actions and reactions long programmed. When your mom says x, you respond y. When your boss tells you to do z, you feel w.
Is the Javascript function a Creator? Of course not. The coder of the script is the Creator.
So our creation (i.e. your life) is little more than a program spitting out results. Your reality is not to your liking because of many subconscious influences on your power of creation:
- You’re creating a reality you think someone else will like
- You’re not aware that you are a creator and are simply living a reactionary life
- You have not practiced awareness enough so your day is mostly spent in unconsciousness.
Let me be clear…you are always creating, even in unconsciousness. It might be pain and negativity, but you are creating.
If you want to create a life you like, be a coder.
Manifesting is coding. Manifesting is the conscious shifting of our preprogrammed state so that the outcome is in-line with our will.
Joe Dispenza writes, “Why are you secretly expecting something different to show up in your life, when you think the same thoughts, perform the same actions, and experience the same emotions every day? Isn’t that the definition of insanity?”
What then happens is you begin to engage with the cooperative components of the Universe/God/nature/Source/the Orders of Creation. This force is a force of ultimate love and cooperation. It moves the universe towards order. This force knows what you want…it’s the same force that put your desire into you in the first place. You just have to get out of the way.
You get out of the way when you let go and trust. It’s just like Michael Phelps would to before a race. You have to trust.
The key to trusting though is not: “I am really unhappy but I’m going to grin and bear it until I get what I want.” That simply creates more unhappiness. You have to embrace the felt experience of what you want, which SHOULD make you feel good NOW! If you can visualize what it feels like to have all the money that you want, then you should feel powerful, happy, free, inspired, alive, gracious…now.
Then, focus on those feelings. Focus on how GOOD it feels to feel that way. Live right there, in that feeling. Letting go is easy then because you feel good and you know more goodness is coming and you know that the universe will send you more unbelievable goodness in response to the goodness you’re putting out there.
There’s no faith anymore because there’s no doubt. You are living proof.
The analogy I like is to be like a diner waiting for their meal at the restaurant. You’re not complaining about the wait, you’re enjoying your wine, enjoying the company, the environment. You trust completely that the food will come.
If you start feeling impatient, or disappointed, or doubt, or frustration, that is a sign that you have snapped out of alignment with your inner being, the creator. This is not a message to go do things. Remember, if you act from this unconsciousness, you will only create more of the same resistance and unhappiness. Allow yourself to slip back into alignment and then see where your inspiration takes you.
A question you can ask yourself is: how does my inner being feel about this moment/circumstance?
Your inner being feels estatic, powerful, joyous, happy to be alive, excited, and trusting. It’s like an excited little kid. The more of a gap there is between how you are looking at the situation and how your inner being is looking at it, the more negative emotion you will feel. This is the source of negative emotion.
Start rewriting the script of your life.
Have you ever seen someone who just exudes confidence?
You don’t really even know why, but they just do. They were confident before good things started coming to them. In fact, it’s pretty clear that all those things that they wanted, came to them because they were confident. It’s pretty much like that.
One final example: Desperation never gets us anywhere. You can smell desperation at a bar. You can smell desperation on a sales call. Desperation never brings something “new” (i.e. success). It just brings more desperation.
The next two questions, I assume you’ll ask are…
- Ok, I see what you’re saying about creation, but how do I actually do it? Read this…
- Ok, I see that it’s up to me to create what I want, but I don’t really know what I want. Read this.
- Still skeptical? Read this.
