We all think that what we want is freedom. What we really want is the consciousness of freedom. I have been quite free during my life – young, no partner, no kids, no bills, no debt, only a one-way plane ticket in my back pocket. And I felt chained… Chained to my doubts. Chained to worries and fears. Chained to my need to control everything and my inability to feel good when things didn’t work out. I remember yelling at my sister on the side of the road in Vietnam because her bike broke down…only because it wasn’t how I wanted it to go…(WHAT WAS I THINKING?) You can be a slave with all the conditions of freedom.
You can be free in a ten foot jail cell. You see, what we really want is the consciousness of freedom.
What is the Consciousness of Freedom?
It is:
- To be clear about what we want regardless of the expectation of others
- To be ourselves, free of our own relentless voice of self judgement
- To be free to pursue our dreams without fear and doubt
- To be hopeful about the future, not fearful
- To never feel stuck where we are
- To be able to disappoint people
- To be able to forgive ourselves
- To be able to see ourselves truly, in our imperfections, and love ourselves still
- To be able to feel good even when things don’t go our way
- To have so much trust that, even if things aren’t going according to plan now, we know that they’re still going ACCORDING TO PLAN.
- To feel UNCONDITIONAL alignment with Source and with our higher self.
That is a freedom consciousness. That’s what we teach and embody at Rujoum. And know that “freedom consciousness” doesn’t mean that you get to feel good inside while your life stays in shambles outside. Not at all. When you embody freedom consciousness, reality will match your consciousness. This freedom, this mutual respect, and this alignment will be reflected back at you in all aspects of your life. You will be a free being in a free world. There are very few people who can claim that today. There is nothing more powerful than that. All that you want will come.
